Can we turn an "idiot box "into a box of Wisdom and knowledge?

Yesterday I had mentioned some valuable points regarding the evilness of television .Now I prefer to provide the different ways in which TV can be utilised as a source of knowledge.

You all know that usually people watch TV for their daily entertainments,to ease their tensions &to get some refreshments.Elders watch TV even for receiving news around the world.This post mainly focus on children and teenagers. Mostly children watch TV for viewing their favourite cartoons and teenagers for sports and movies.It is important to mention that both cartoons and sports have it's own prominence.Cartoons make the pupils more creative and fantasic & sports elevates the sportsman spirit and makes teens courageous,fresh &spiritually strong.

But in the modern world we have got a  chance to  use and utilise this visual media in a smart way to boost our knowledge in various fields.Instead of suppressing this Idiot Box as a mere time killer,we need to realise the TV as a guide of knowledge. Television has a lot of channels which act as a teaching guide by providing informations related to pupil' s studies.channels like Safari and Victor give a lot of information about the ancient civilisations,world and Indian histories,new inventions &developments in science and technologies,animals and their biodiversities.It is a fact that visual learning is more effective and memorable than simply copy learning as visuals persist more than letters in our brain.visuals help viewer to coordinate and remember the whole informations in a story manner.

Watching News channels especially English like CNN,BBC,FOX news not only help us to know social issues but also give a great support in improving our language and vocabulary skills.Regular hearing of this news increase the grasping capacity of viewer and make their English fluencive.Channels like DISCOVERY ,DISCOVERY SCIENCE,DISCOVERY TURBO etc displays various New technologies and machineries and various scientific  inventions which give children new ideas and interesting information related to scientific world.such brilliant ideas might improve their logical and practical skills.

It is better to find some time for watching English movies instead of daily watching regional language programmes.It might  makes a brilliant change in your English speeches. More over Hollywood movies are often hard to understand it's ultimate aim.So regular watching boost your thinking power.

Even though all channels are impressive,in my opinion if you are watching Tv please give prominence for watching these above mentioned and other such benefitable channels .Effective utilisation of this kind of media makes you smart in life.As  teenager I 'm writing this on behalf of my experience. So "Think smart and be smart".
