Beat Plastic Pollution

           June 5- Another World environment day.
We all know that we have been celebrating the world environment day since 1972.The supreme Goal of this  celebration is to protect our nature free from pollution.But do you think that we achieved it completely even after a long years?


     No,we need to go a far to achieve it.Nowdays plastic becomes the biggest villain to nature.World reports say that the total world production of plastic is almost crossed 830 crore tones.Among these 79% has been desposing in the nature itself ,12 % are burnt .It is hard to say that only 9% of the total plastic has been undergoing recycling.What will be the fate of our nature of if we continue the same for the coming years??.It is very horrible to imagine that.

 
        We cannot put the blaim on others head.Human is the supreme social animal and he is responsible for this pathetic plight. Instead of protecting ,we are harming environment for our own selfish gains.

     Recently we heard a lot about the uncountable plastic waste disposal under oceans and marine areas which troubled the aquatic life badly and causing the death of many fishes.Rivers and streams are the primary victims of this.plastic wastes from factories and houses and other buildings are directly throwed into these rivers and finally reach the oceans.It is very painful to mention that after China's Yantse river,the most polluted river with plastic is our Indus. Almost 80 lack tones of plastics have been reached in our oceans.If this continuous ,in around 2050 our oceans will contain plastics more in number than fishes.So it is our responsibility to prevent it from happening.But why we are getting backward?   Why we are failing to protect our environment??

      Often our Govt. fails to take action against nonGovernmental and other such organisations which produce more plastics and causing pollution & failure of authorities to punish culprits causing pollution even supreme court has right for giving punishment may be some of the reasons behind it.Above all this the selfish and savagery mind of human might be the other.


   If we are ready to change our mind ,we won the goal 50%.It is high time to realise the importance of a healthy environment. We can control the pollution by making more recycling plants and effective transportation of plastic waste to the plant.building scientific laboratories for the better separation of plastic wastes can be used as other method.It is better to remember the 3R's here.Even children can reduce the plastic usage by adopting different methods like using paper bags instead of plastic bags,galss tumblers for storing things,use of paper plates ,and steel bottels for carrying water to schools.
   
      Plastics are very harmful to soil also.Uncontrolled plastic content reduce soil fertility and stunts plant growth. It even pollute our underground water.we can't even burn it due to the release of poisonous gases. So the only way to eliminate plastic is to reduce it's production,by limiting it's use and by proper recycling of used plastics.

    World Environment Day is giving you all a chance to turn and fight against plastic.your noble deeds can make a lot of good changes in the society.If plastic is the villain,we each should be the hero.Any of the villain can't survive a long if the heroes are countless and powerful.So get ready to change the world.Take the pledge and go ahead.Hoping for a wonderful pollution free world.....
